Remote has build industry leading Partner API technology that enable partners to embed Remote’s capabilities into their platform. With Remote Embedded, selected technology partners can integrate the capability to hire and pay talent anywhere, Powered by Remote. Remote Embedded provides them new revenue streams, a competitive advantage, and increased customer loyalty.
Building on the success of the initial implementations, we are now expanding the team. As Principal, Business Development - Remote Embedded, you will be responsible for sourcing and closing the largest and most strategic deals for Remote Embedded.
What you bring
- 10-12 years of experience in business development / sales / strategic partnerships in the HR, fintech or B2B software/technology industry, of which 2+ years in engaging with C-level stakeholders
- Proven trackrecord of developing and closing multi-year deals in a partner driven GTM strategy
- Seasoned in communicating and negotiating with C-level counterparts; ability to orchestrate C-level engagement internally & externally
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders across levels and functions in prospect organizations
- Operating independently with minimal day-to-day guidance in a high growth environment
- Exceptional commercial acumen and follow through with clients and prospects
- Superior verbal, written and presentation skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Passion for remote work and a global outlook strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit technology partners to implement and resell Remote to their customer base via the Remote Embedded solution
- Generate awareness and demand at C-level stakeholders in target prospects, engaging the right stakeholders at the right time with the right message
- Develop and execute targeted business development tactics for prioritized ‘must-win’ accounts; build and maintain relationships at targeted accounts, at all levels of seniority
- Build compelling business case and implementation roadmap, pro-actively address potential objections, build prospect confidence in Remote
- Own deal execution, leading all aspects including deal qualification, strategic and product assessment, transaction structuring and negotiation
- Negotiate deal terms that ensure sustainable economics and aligned incentives
- Collaborate with Marketing teams to develop and refine customer facing collaterals and targeted marketing outreach
- Orchestrate involvement of Remote execs and internal stakeholders as appropriate (across Product, Engineering, Operations, CX, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and more)
- Collect and communicate actionable partner and customer feedback to Remote’s Product, Engineering, and other teams

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $53,145 USD to $119,520 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
